Cameron County Public Meeting 1, January 12, 2011

The meeting was held for Cameron County at the Cameron County - San Benito Annex.

The meeting started with a public viewing of mapping exhibits at 5pm; the mapping exhibits included the following:

A formal presentation began approximately at 6pm; the presenation included: CameronCoPPT-Jan12-2011.

Several items, issues, and/or suggestions resulted from the meeting –

* Attendees requested that engineers visit certain colonias such as the Arroyo Estates neighborhood so that they could see problems caused by a canal. Residents of this neighborhood discussed the problems.

* Attendee at the meeting noted some of the legal challenges to addressing issues in Arroyo Estates and similar neighborhoods.

* Others who attended had questions about the ranking system for projects and how projects would be prioritized.
